LeadMarina vs LocalProspects

The short version

Choose LocalProspects if you want an owner name on as many rows as possible, or each website's tech stack, and will check deliverability yourself.

Choose LeadMarina if you want every email SMTP-checked and labeled before you send, at a lower price per 1,000 leads on every tier.

LocalProspects is a local-business lead finder: search a niche and a city, get businesses with contact details and, on many of them, an owner name. It also detects each website's tech stack and covers businesses outside the US.

LeadMarina is built around one job: checking contacts before you send. Every email is SMTP-checked and labeled safe, risky, invalid or unknown, phones carry a line type and carrier, and owner names come from the business's own website, US public records, or a web search for the business. We ran the same search on both tools in October 2026 and lay out what we found below, including where they come out ahead.

Measured on real leads

What a LeadMarina lead comes with.

  • 97%

of leads come with a phone, almost every one checked for mobile and carrier

  • About 4 in 10

    have a mobile number

  • About 4 in 10

have an email checked safe to send to

  • About 1 in 5

    come with the owner's name

2.6% had no usable phone or email. When a search returns one of those because we couldn't read the business's website, the lead goes back to your balance automatically.

Measured on a random sample of 52,279 leads delivered in the 30 days to October 29, 2026. How we measured

Finished leads only, with our own test account left out. A pooled figure leans toward the heaviest users, so here is the typical account too: 96% with a phone, 35% with a mobile number, 35% with an email checked safe, and 21% with the owner's name. Checked emails are labeled safe, risky, invalid or unknown, so you can see which ones to send to.

Who should pick which

  • You prospect outside the US.
  • You want an owner name on as many rows as possible and will check deliverability yourself before sending.
  • You sell websites or ads and want each lead's tech stack (site builder, ad pixels) in the row.

Choose LeadMarina if…

  • Your sending reputation matters: every email arrives SMTP-checked as safe, risky, invalid or unknown, so you can send to the safe ones and hold back the rest.
  • You want a lower price per lead on every tier, with verification included in that price.
  • You want owner names from sources we publish: the business's own website, US public records, or a web search for the business.

FAQ

Where do the 95 and 182 come from?+

We ran one search, Plumber in Adamsville, Alabama, on both tools in October 2026 and counted the results. It is one search, not a benchmark; your niche and city will differ. Their search ran at its 100-result depth; they also offer 300, 500 and 700, and a deeper search there may return more.

Why doesn't LeadMarina show an owner on every lead?+

We show an owner only when the business's own website, a public record, or a web search for the business names one. A wrong name in the first line of a cold email costs you more than a blank one, so where we can't source an owner, the field stays empty.

Is the price per lead really lower on every plan?+

On published monthly prices as of October 2026, yes: their Starter, Agency, and Scale plans work out to $3.90, $1.94, and $1.49 per 1,000 leads, against our Solo, Pro, and Business plans in the table above. Our price per lead also includes the email and phone checks.
