GoHighLevel integration
Contact upserts into any sub-account — additive tags, no duplicates, no caps.
GoHighLevel (HighLevel) is the all-in-one platform most marketing agencies use to run local-business clients. Each client lives in its own sub-account (location), and everything downstream — follow-up, appointment booking, deal tracking — runs on workflows triggered by tags and contact events, Smart Lists, and pipelines. LeadMarina sits at the top of that machine: it finds local-business leads by niche and city from Google business listings data, verifies every one, and exports them into GoHighLevel so your existing automation takes over.
What LeadMarina delivers
Every lead is a fully verified business:
- Up to 3 emails, SMTP-checked and labeled safe, risky, or invalid
- Up to 3 phone numbers with line type (mobile, landline, VoIP, toll-free) and carrier
- Owner name, where identifiable
- Social profiles: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, Yelp
- Ratings, reviews, and the full business profile
Billing is a single meter: 1 lead = 1 delivered, fully verified business. The free plan includes 100 leads; paid plans include 15,000, 65,000, or 240,000 leads per month. A search can cover up to 30 cities in one run.
Connecting GoHighLevel
1. In LeadMarina, click Connect on GoHighLevel under export destinations. 2. GoHighLevel's OAuth screen opens. During approval, choose the sub-account (location) that should receive leads — this is where every export lands. 3. Pick a search and export it to GoHighLevel.
LeadMarina connects to one sub-account per LeadMarina account. To deliver into a different location, disconnect GoHighLevel in LeadMarina, then connect again and pick the new sub-account on the OAuth screen. There is nothing to pre-build inside HighLevel before connecting — no custom setup required.
Working the leads inside HighLevel
Exports upsert contacts into the connected sub-account using GoHighLevel's core native contact fields: business and contact name, phone, email, address, and website. The rest of the LeadMarina profile — email verification labels, phone line types and carriers, social profiles, ratings and reviews — stays in LeadMarina rather than landing as GHL fields, so keep LeadMarina open when you want the deeper context on a contact. Tags LeadMarina applies are additive-only: it adds its tags to the contact's tag list and never removes or replaces anything.
From there, use HighLevel's own machinery:
- Workflows. Add a Contact Tag trigger (tag added) so every newly exported lead enrolls in your outreach or nurture workflow automatically. Downstream, the Create Opportunity action can drop each lead into a pipeline stage so reps work them like any other deal.
- Smart Lists. Build a dynamic list filtered on the LeadMarina tag. Smart Lists update in real time, and bulk actions let you push an entire list into a workflow at once.
- Snapshots. If you standardize client onboarding with a snapshot, include the tag-triggered intake workflow in it. Whichever location you connect is then ready to receive LeadMarina exports on day one.
Update-in-place: how re-exports behave
Every LeadMarina export updates in place, matched by a stable Google business identifier:
- Re-running or re-exporting a search updates the same records instead of creating new ones. LeadMarina never duplicates its own leads — including when two different searches surface the same business.
- Your data is never touched. Notes, activities, and custom-field values that you or your workflows have written stay exactly as they are.
- Tags are additive-only. LeadMarina adds its own tags and never removes any tag, including yours.
This is what makes scheduled, recurring delivery safe: a weekly "plumbers in Austin" run refreshes existing contacts in place and adds only the businesses that are new.
Automating delivery
Any LeadMarina search can repeat once, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly with GoHighLevel as the destination. Pair a weekly schedule with a tag-added workflow trigger and the top of your funnel runs itself: new businesses appear in the sub-account, existing ones refresh in place, and your workflow handles first touch.
For custom setups, the REST API is available on every plan, including free (bearer API keys). There is also an MCP server at https://leadmarina.com/api/mcp (streamable HTTP; OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration, or API-key headers) exposing 7 tools: search_leads, get_search_results, enrich_domains, query_leads (free), export_leads, list_searches, and get_balance.
Troubleshooting
- Seeing duplicates? LeadMarina matches on its Google business identifier, so its own exports never duplicate one another. A contact you imported from elsewhere (a CSV, another tool) carries no identifier for LeadMarina to match, so it is left untouched — that business can exist twice if it was already in the sub-account before your first export.
- A workflow didn't fire. Check that the Contact Tag trigger's filter matches the exact tag on the contact, and that the workflow is published. Tag filters are exact.
- A tag disappeared. LeadMarina never removes tags. Check for a Remove Contact Tag action in your workflows or a manual edit in the sub-account.
- Leads went to the wrong sub-account. The destination is the single location chosen on the OAuth screen when you connected. Disconnect GoHighLevel in LeadMarina, connect again and pick the correct location, then re-export — update-in-place means re-exporting is safe.
- Out of leads mid-month. The meter counts delivered, fully verified businesses. Check your balance in LeadMarina (or via the API's
get_balance) and upgrade if you need more volume.
